The MALDEN HOUSING AUTHORITY (MHA) is
a state and municipally chartered public housing
authority proudly owning and administrating over
1,400 units of federally and state-funded public
housing in seven elder/disabled and two family
developments located in Malden. The MHA also
administers nearly 1,000 units of federal Section 8
tenant-based, tenant protection and project-based,
and state MRVP/AHVP voucher assistance in and
around Malden.
The MHA is constructing over $11.2 million in
energy improvements and conservation measures
pursuant to a HUD approved Energy Performance
Contract that will significantly reduce consumption
and lower utility costs, contributing to MHA’s
operational sustainability, and enabling MHA
to continue to fulfill her mission to her assisted
families.
